* Divisions reaching 16 competitors in first round will be split in half the fairest    way possible either by belt, sex or age.

* White/Orange/Yellow belts - typically less than 1.5 years experience.

* Blue/Green/Purple belts - 1.5 to 3 years experience.

* Brown/Red/Black - 3+ years experience.

* Brown/Red belt or equivalent belt rank is defined as next to Black Belt.

* 12 yrs -  (12 years of age and younger).
